Landia employee wins Royal Award for 50 years service

19 May 2010

The Secretary of the Royal Cabinet presented Ewald Green with his award during a ceremony at Landia’s headquarters in Lem, Jutland.

Despite the advent of computers in the time of his long and loyal five decades of service, Ewald still kept his very own records books, which were often called upon by colleagues wishing to check spare parts for Landia pumps and mixers that had also been in service for many, many years.

Kurt Tobler, Landia’s export director, said: “Ewald has been a tremendous credit to Landia and to the pump and mixer industry. We are very proud of his achievement. He worked his way up from apprentice and was here when the very first submersible motors were built in the 1970’s – continuing to play a vital role right through to his final year. He has worked on thousands of our pumps and mixers, always giving that extra special care and attention to detail.”
