Watson-Marlow dye pump allows easy colour change

24 May 2010

Watson-Marlow has developed a Neat Dye version of its 520 peristaltic pump for the pulp and paper industry.

The 520 pump incorporates tube elements and a pumphead design which allows concentrated, neat dyes to be transferred directly to paper machines. It is not necessary to make down the dye or flush out the pump because the dye colour can be changed in one step by switching the tube element.

Watson-Marlow pumps keep fluids contained within the tube at all times, never allowing fluid to come into contact with the pump mechanism, ensuring gentle, low shear handling of the fluid. Any corrosion and abrasive damage is restricted to the consumable tubing element. The elastomer tubing, which is the only part that will need replacing, resists abrasive wear.
