  • Transferring viscous waste in a brewery
Staff at a UK brewery had to manually empty mash waste from the equipment, costing time and energy. A pump was needed which could handle the highly viscous material at the production facility. Having approached a number of companies, a solution was provided which eliminated the labour intensive process and improved efficiency.
  • High-pressure solution for reverse osmosis applications
Modern reverse osmosis desalination plants operate with high base load capacity and therefore the mechanical reliability and efficiency of high-pressure membrane feed pumps deserve thorough consideration. Production losses due to mechanical failure or higher energy consumption due to lower hydraulic efficiency can be significant factors in the plant operating costs. Salvatore Robuschi launches new range of cantilever pumps

24 May 2010

The cantilever pump has minimum maintenance costs, can run dry and without level controls and will immediately prime when liquid returns to the sump and covers the casing.

The cantilever pump from Salvatore Robuschi is not affected by temperature and can pump liquids in excess of 500ºC and can empty tanks and sumps up to 5 m in depth. The pump can be fitted with impellers to handle abrasives or solid materials without flushing.

Manufactured in either AISI 316 or cast iron, the pump employs heavy duty bearings located outside of the liquid. The pump is available with a variety of impellers; from closed, semi open, channel and vortex and can handle a variety of liquids. It is available in column lengths from 0.3 – 1.5 m and with the addition of a suction pipe can give up to 5 m suction lift.

The cantilever pump from Salvatore Robuschi is available in the UK exclusively from The Pump Company.
