  • 50 years of World Pumps: A perspective from the inside
To really know how the industry has changed during the lifetime of World Pumps, you have to have been a part of it. Here, we present some insights from four professionals who have witnessed and moved with the changes of five decades in the pump industry.
  • Cartridge seal from Scenic Precise Element restrains VOC emissions
The LD-389 cartridge seal from Scenic is suitable for ANSI pumps and applications to most chemical processes.
  • Streamlining mixing and digest processes
Converting organic waste material into re-usable energy is an important part of the UK government's overall strategy for achieving targets for zero food and packaging into landfill by 2015. In Wales, a company installing mixing systems for anaerobic digesters found ways to streamline the process and ensure future improvements could be added easily.
  • Skid based package doubles flow rates
The external screens of a European battery breaking and recycling plant were regularly becoming blocked. The mounting downtime led the company to explore other options in high pressure pumping. A ready-to-use skid based package proved able to match the challenging environment, and exceed expectations in terms of pressure and flow.
  • Dosing pumps for sealing compounds
The additives present in many modern sealing compounds, can be quite abrasive, and finding a dosing pump that can handle them without problems is more of a challenge than it used to be. However, there are reliable non-damaging solutions using a range of pump types.
