Flowserve wins valve order for Australian desalination plant

Flowserve Corp is to supply plug valves for the Southern Seawater Desalination Plant near Perth in Australia.

The desalination plant will use manual and automated Flowserve Durco PlugSeal valves for its high-pressure processes.

Tom Pajonas, president of the Flowserve Flow Control Division, said that Flowserve has considerable experience in the desalination industry, and that desalination represents a significant opportunity for Flowserve to grow globally.
 
Designed for the desalination industry, Flowserve PlugSeal valves are made of super-duplex stainless steel with a fluoropolymer-coated plug for corrosion resistance.
