Andritz has received an order from Egypt’s Concord for Engineering and Contracting to supply 17 vertical line shaft pumps, including a set of spare parts, for a pumping station providing the water supply to the Nubaria irrigation canal, located south of the city of Alexandria.
The Andritz pumps will be individually adapted to the customer’s specifications and achieve an aggregate flow rate of 11.7 m3 per second. Each pump achieves a head of 28 m at a shaft power of 222 kW.
The start-up of the pumping station is scheduled for 2018.
