Andritz has secured an order worth more than €60 million from India’s Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) to equip three pumping stations in the Indian state of Telangana with 27 vertical volute pumps.
The three pumping stations are located near the village of Kaleshwaram. One of the stations conveys 660 cubic meters of water per second from the Pranahita River and then through other pumping stations into a reservoir. The reservoir will ensure a sustainable supply of water for agricultural irrigation in the cities Karimnagar, Medak, Nizamabad, Nalgonda and in the Ranga Reddy district.
Start-up is scheduled for June 2018.
