Ebara Corp has started operating a new facility in Vietnam to assemble standard pump products.
The new facility assembles parts, which are produced at Ebara’s plant in Italy, into standard pump products for shipment.
Until now, each Ebara company in Southeast Asia managed its own inventories. By establishing this new facility, Ebara says it will be able to control stock levels and efficiently supply products to the Southeast Asian market according to demand, while shortening delivery times and reducing inventory.
Ebara is strengthening its global supply chain in order to increase the competitiveness of its standard pumps business in overseas markets.
The company is concentrating its efforts on the overseas standard pumps business to achieve its goal of delivering water to 600 million people worldwide as outlined in its long-term E-Vision 2030 plan.
