Hidrostal managing director Steve Blakemore said: “We are delighted to be working so closely with the Environment Agency and consider this a welcome endorsement of the engineering superiority of our SuperHawk diesel-driven, mobile pumping solutions, which serve to maximise performance and to lower financial and environmental costs for our customers.”

Kirsty Browning, contracts manager at the Environment Agency, said: “The Hidrostal SuperHawk is specifically designed with efficiency and environment in mind and has lower CO2 emissions than its competitors, giving a 30% CO2 reduction across the range. It continues to benefit the Environment Agency as it offers low fuel consumption. Hidrostal has also confirmed the possibility of running the pumps on sustainable bio-diesel which we will be actively looking into. All of this will contribute to meeting our carbon reduction targets.”
