Gorman-Rupp CFO to retire

Knabel plans to step down from his executive vice president and CFO positions at the end of 2016. He will remain employed by Gorman-Rupp as a succession planning and strategic planning advisor to the CEO and president, the succeeding CFO and the board of directors until his planned retirement date in March 2017.

Meanwhile, James Kerr will join Gorman-Rupp as vice president of finance from 18 July 2016.

The pump company plans to appoint Kerr as CFO with effect from 1 January 2017.

Kerr, 54, most recently served as executive vice president and CFO of Jo-Ann Stores Inc, a formerly publicly-held retail chain of residential consumer products. From August 2014 to March 2015, Kerr also served as interim CEO of the company in addition to his CFO position.
