The horizontal axial flow pumps are part of the US$70 million design build project awarded to Hopewell Nutrient Partners, a joint venture between HDR Engineering and PC Construction, for the design and construction of nitrogen removal facilities at the 50 MGD water treatment plant.
An MBBR treatment system will be utilised to meet the new nitrogen levels.
The three new continuous duty Morrison pumps will recycle the MBBR wastewater.
Hollywood, Florida-based Morrison is scheduled to deliver the pumps in spring 2016.
