Overhung load adaptors from Zero-Max could prevent seal failure

Providing a solid connection and mounting platform for a pump impeller can be especially challenging in underwater applications. Typical of these are agitation systems in water treatment plants that include aerators, agitators and scrapers that operate underwater 24/7 and require minimal maintenance for long periods of time.

Specially designed submersible Overhung Load Adaptors (OHLA) from Zero-Max handle these underwater drivetrain stress conditions. Key components are designed with chrome, nickel plating, or QPQ finish to withstand harsh, corrosive underwater conditions.

OHLA’s protect the hydraulic motor’s shaft seal and prevent seal failure, a condition often unseen until system damage occurs. Replacing damaged shaft seals is laborious and costly because multiple hydraulic components usually must be disconnected to get at the seal failure. Now, these conditions can be eliminated using Overhung Load Adaptors for protection.
