Sulzer makes changes to its executive committee

Daniel Bischofberger is joining Sulzer from ABB to become president of the company’s Rotating Equipment Services division. Peter Alexander, the current president of the Rotating Equipment Services division, will retire at the end of August 2016.

Frédéric Lalanne has taken up the newly created position of chief commercial and marketing officer (CCMO) at Sulzer. Lalanne most recently served as the CCMO for GE Grid Solutions.

Both Bischofberger and Lalanne will become members of Sulzer’s executive committee.

Meanwhile, Fabrice Billard, who is currently Sulzer’s chief strategy officer (CSO), is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Billard, who joined Sulzer 12 years ago and was appointed to the executive committee in 2015, set up the Sulzer Full Potential (SFP) program. The CSO position will be discontinued and the SFP team will report directly to Sulzer CEO Greg Poux-Guillaume.

The Sulzer executive committee will remain a seven-person body including the CEO, with all members reporting to Poux-Guillaume.
