The treatment solution developed for the plant includes a number of Xylem products including its Sanitaire ICEAS advanced sequencing batch reactor (SBR) and Flygt pumps.
The expansion of the treatment plant began earlier this year and is scheduled to be operational by the second quarter of 2018. When complete, it will generate 200 000 cubic metres per day (m3/d) of average sewage flow for treatment and reuse.
