Porvair Filtration Group has appointed Santosh Shetty as the new general manager for India to drive fresh growth and enhance manufacturing efficiency at the company’s Thane facility.
Shetty, who has over 20 years of expertise in the filtration industry, will focus on growing and maximising the productivity of Porvair’s offering in India and Bangladesh. Shetty will also concentrate on increasing the chemical process, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, printing, polymer, nuclear, aerospace and OEM markets.
“Operations commenced in India with a high value gasification project, involving the world’s largest oil refinery,” said Shetty. “There is a need to build on this success, as well as expanding into the other market segments that we can provide both standard and customised solutions for.”
Porvair Filtration Group managing director Tom Liddell, added: “Appointing Santosh Shetty as the general manager, is part of our strategy to grow our capabilities in India, and his proven expertise, market knowledge and fresh ideas will help to provide a more efficient and smooth running of our Thane facility.”
