E-Series pumps are suitable for use in the harsh applications found in solar-cell manufacturing. All E-Series housing and pump components are made with polyethylene (PE) or PTFE. PE has a high abrasion resistance, as much as seven times higher than polypropylene (PP) and 1.6 times higher than steel. This type of durability is important for handling the abrasive silicon carbide slurry of solar cell manufacturing. The high chemical resistant E-Series pumps constructed with PTFE allows for compatibility with the solar-cell manufacturing process’s chemical supply, including acids and caustics, so that the pump’s internal parts will not become corroded by abrasive media or dry particles. E-Series pumps also feature the patented PERSWING P maintenance-free air-control system. Options such as a screw-on pulsation damper, draining systems, barrier chamber system, diaphragm monitor, stroke counting and flange connection are also available.
