The new 50 000 sq ft plant will manufacture concrete equipment and other industry-related machinery.
The Monterrey location, approximately 125 miles from the US border, will allow products to be easily distributed to the US, as well as providing access to Mexico’s main ports for export to Latin America. Production is expected to start in summer 2014.
“Creating a division of Putzmeister America in Mexico has been a goal of ours for a long time,” said Dave Adams, Putzmeister America’s president and CEO. “The central location of this division and manufacturing plant will allow us to better serve our customers in Mexico and throughout Latin America.”
