The Japanese company’s greenhouse reduction targets are:
- Reducing Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 55% from FY2018 levels by FY2030 (Target in-line with 1.5℃ level)
- Reducing Scope 3 GHG emissions (Category 11) 25% from FY2021 levels by FY2030 (Target in-line with the well-below 2°C pathway).
These targets have now been approved as SBT short-term targets as they are consistent with the levels required by the Paris Agreement.
