The hybrid solution, developed by Summit ESP – a Halliburton Service – integrates the efficient features of a PMM with elements from Halliburton’s induction motor technology to maximize production, reduce power costs and total cost of ownership for customers.

TrueSync PMM is a synchronous motor technology with up to a 20% efficiency gain compared to traditional induction motors. Its hybrid elements are designed to maintain synchronous rotation during extreme conditions such as gas slugging. The result is a blend of efficiency and extended operational run life. The slim design enables deeper wellbore setting depths and increased production in unconventional wells. SpyGlass pump sizing software allows for a precision-tailored ESP system, while Halliburton’s Intelevate digital platform uses data science to optimize efficiency and sustainability.

“TrueSync is a clear response to our customers’ desire to power the world with efficiency and sustainability through innovation and safe practices and is foundational for the future of ESP applications. TrueSync helps maximize production and minimize power input costs, and total cost of ownership, to achieve efficiency and sustainability,” said Greg Schneider, vice president, Artificial Lift. “The future of ESP power lies in TrueSync’s hybrid design.”
