ITT Watermark was recognised for its efforts to provide access to safe water and sanitation to children and families in Asia.
In Asia, ITT Watermark partners with China Women’s Development Foundation to provide safe water pumps, hand washing stations and latrines to rural schools and with Mercy Corps to secure safe water supplies for people in times of emergency, such as after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake.
“Citizenship is part of the fabric of ITT, and our commitment to bring safe water and sanitation to emerging markets, including China, where 300 million people lack access, is an undeniable example of this,” said Angela Buonocore, senior vice president and chief communications officer at ITT. “Through both our business solutions and social initiatives, ITT provides access to sustainable water resources to create more liveable environments for communities around the world.”
