Kaizen award for Kirloskar Ebara Pumps

Kaizen is a system of continuous improvement in quality, technology, processes, company culture, productivity, safety and leadership.  

Pune-headquartered KEPL received an award for a presentation made by two teams on the theme of ‘Reduction in Line Organisation Loss using Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) technique’.

SS Katare, KEPL plant head, said: “We are honoured to receive this recognition for our quality improvement practices. We at KEPL have always made an effort to put our best foot forward and work towards ‘change for better’. This is yet another step towards the journey from Good to Great!”

Around 90 teams participated in the event.

KEPL introduced a Kaizen culture in April 2013.

KEPL is a joint venture between Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (KBL), India and Ebara Corp, Japan.
