Keynote speakers announced for Europump’s 2025 Annual Meeting in Prague this May

Europump, the European Association of Pump Manufacturers, will hold its 2025 Annual Meeting and General Assembly, in Prague from 21–23 May.

The event, which brings together experts, policymakers, and business leaders to discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the pump sector, will feature a series of keynote presentations including:

• Aluminium: From the Green Deal to the Clean Industrial Deal by George Karkampasis, Director Circular Economy & Raw Materials, European Aluminium Association

• North American Market & Policy Update - What’s Next Under Trump 2.0? by Michael Michaud, Executive Director, Hydraulic Institute

• World Pumps Report 2025 – Statistical Update on Market Developments by Kiran Ahmed, Lead Economist, Global Industry Services, Oxford Economics

• Program of New Nuclear Power Units in the Czech Republic by Milan Krivda, Head of Nuclear Department, Nuclear Research Institute Rez plc.

There will also be a technical presentation given by WEG, the motor, drive, and asset management systems technology company, as part of its headline sponsorship of the event.

The event will also feature three parallel working sessions, scheduled for Wednesday, 21 May, from 1:00pm–3:00pm. These sessions, designed to foster in-depth discussions and collaboration, include:

• Pump Knowledge Workshop – A forum for collecting and sharing pump-related guidebooks, whitepapers, and industry knowledge.

• CE Marking Working Session – A dedicated session addressing CE marking regulations and their implications.

• Alignment of Global Efficiency – A discussion on the harmonization of international efficiency standards for water pumps and the extended product approach perspective.

Participation in these sessions is limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Europump Annual Meeting & General Assembly provides a unique platform for networking, learning, and influencing future industry developments. All members and industry stakeholders are invited to Prague for this gathering.
