The 13.5 MWp solar project will generate approximately 20 million units of clean energy annually, substantially increasing the renewable energy usage for the Kirloskarvadi plant from 25% to 75%.

KBL subsidiary The Kolhapur Steel Limited (TKSL) will also boost its renewable energy usage up to 75%.

Through a partnership with Sunsure Energy, KBL will significantly reduce its carbon footprint, offsetting 14,200 metric tonnes of CO2e emissions yearly. This aligns with the company's commitment to environmental stewardship and contributing to India’s renewable energy-powered economy.
