Metso is transferring its Pumps business area from the company’s Flow Control segment to its Minerals segment.
Metso says that the change is designed to better support the common customer interface and the growth plans of the Pumps business.
The majority of Metso’s Pumps business area customers are common to the Minerals segment, and sales already largely operate through the Minerals market area structure.
Pumps was previously reported under the Flow Control segment along with the Valves business area.
The Pumps business will be headed up by Mikko Keto, who is also president of Metso’s Minerals Services business area. John Quinlivan will remain president of the Valves business area.
Metso will continue to report externally under two segments – Minerals and Flow Control – and will run its operations through seven business areas.
