Nikkiso Co Ltd executive Tsunehisa Suita has been appointed CEO of the German pump and system manufacturer Lewa Group.

Suita (58) has been managing Leonberg-headquartered Lewa together with chief sales officer (CSO) Stefan Glasmeyer and chief operating officer (COO) Dr Martin Fiedler since 1 September 2018.

He takes over from Peter Wagner who is transferring to the US-based Cryogenic Industries, which was acquired by Lewa’s Japanese parent company Nikkiso last year. Wagner will be assisted in his new role by Hisanao Amino, who previously served as chief financial officer in Germany. In his new role at Leonberg, Suita is stepping in for Wagner and Amino.

An economist with an MBA from the University of Washington, Suita has 30 years of experience in international business. He has held a number of key positions at Nikkiso since 2010, first as director and senior executive manager and then as general manager of the company’s Medical Division and the Corporate Planning Division.

Lewa says that Suita sees the work in Leonberg as a welcome challenge and that he plans to further bolster the company’s growth trend.

Nikkiso acquired Lewa in 2009.
