Pump Engineering wins Magtaa water project

Pump Engineering will begin delivering 25 HTCAT-7200 TurboChargers to the Magtaa sea water reverse osmosis plant in 2010. When the sea water reverse osmosis plant begins operating in 2011, it will produce 500,000 m3/day of potable water per day, making it the largest sea water reverse osmosis plant in the world.

Larry Pelegrin, vice president of sales & marketing for Pump Engineering said: “The detailed engineering analysis and life cycle cost calculations of the energy recovery alternatives left no stone unturned. Magtaa will be a bench mark for future energy recovery device selections.”
