Pumping test success in Bochum

The required pumping test for the new MARK 51°7 technology campus in Bochum, Germany has been successfully completed.

Around 70–75% of the heating and cooling requirements of the companies and research facilities on the new MARK 51°7 site in Bochum will be supplied with climate-friendly heating and cooling.

The existing infrastructure is being reused for this purpose. The water required will be obtained from the flooded mine tunnels of a former coalmine. These were accessed via two new boreholes, about 300 and 800 meters deep.

German artificial lift specialist Oil Dynamics GmbH is supporting this innovative project by developing, supplying and installing the complete pumping systems for both wells.
