The new plant will provide 2400 cubic metres per day of desalinated process water.
The project design includes ultrafiltration (UF) membranes as pre-treatment and a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination system, which will consist of two trains of desalination, energy recovery devices, pumps and instrumentation to ensure maximum reliability, and all associated ancillary systems.
