Charles Austen Pumps says that this new alarm system allows the user to detect a power cut, tube rupture or pump failure quickly, avoiding environmental hazards and potential fines.
The company says that Envirosure uses the same technology as its environmental alarms but now incorporates an optional bright LED beacon which can be positioned up to 10 m away from the alarm module. Supplied complete with quick fit installation kit the beacon installs directly to the outer of the tank or to a fence post or similar. Charles Austen Pumps adds that it is both compact and lightweight with low power consumption. The Envirosure is designed for use with the Enviro range of linear pumps but retrofits to most external sewage aeration pumps and is quick and simple to install. Operation is by mains connection with battery backup in case of a power failure.
Although designed for sewage treatment systems Envirosure is also claimed to be suitable for koi fishponds, hydroponic grow systems and laboratory aeration experiment.
