The company is now certified in three different ISO standards, including ISO 9001:2015 Quality, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and now ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety.

ISO 45001:2018 is the world’s first international standard focused on health and safety with a goal of ensuring companies have a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and visitors. This new standard is used to establish an effective OH&S management system for preventing work-related injury and illness, as well as proactively improve health and safety performance.

Kristy Benedatti, UK Health and Safety manager for Waukesha Magnetic Bearings, said: “Achieving ISO 45001:2018 certification showcases our serious commitment to our employees and customers by continuously evaluating and improving our safety procedures to ensure we meet the highest standards in the world.”

The company began internal preparation for certification in 2019 through evaluation of existing procedures and development of new procedures to align with ISO 45001:2018 standards. Benadatti added: “By including ISO 45001:2018 standards within our Integrated System Manual, we ensured consistency of our policies and procedures across three major aspects of our organization: quality, the environment and now safety.”
