Weir’s new Roto-Jet RO-FT API 610 pump has been created with improved pitot tube pump technology. In the technical paper entitled Improvements in Pitot Tube technology, the author, Bryce Neilson, BS mechanical engineer at Weir Specialty Pumps, highlights how a between bearings rotor arrangement with opposed suction and discharge improves NPSHr and eliminates axial thrust resulting from suction pressure.
