ClydeUnion has been leasing the site from Weir since the company acquired the Weir Pumps, Glasgow business in 2007.
“The deal to sell our Cathcart site makes sense for both the Weir Group and ClydeUnion. We are pleased that the sale will support the future of the ClydeUnion business as they continue to provide employment at engineering and manufacturing operations in Glasgow,” said Keith Cochrane, chief executive of Weir.
The sale of the site should be completed by the end of this year.
