Dr Holger Krasmann, 50, has been replaced by Dr Markus Beukenberg, 56, who will be responsible for research and technology, quality management and electronics and motor production.
Dr Beukenberg has headed up research and technology at Wilo since he joined the pump manufacturer last year.
He will now join the Wilo executive board and will report directly to the chairman Oliver Hermes.
