Under the non-exclusive agreement, Xylem will distribute the GE range of ZeeWeed technologies, including ZeeWeed microfiltration, ultrafiltration and membrane bioreactor products, in Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
The Xylem water and wastewater treatment product portfolio currently includes products for water and wastewater transport, biological treatment, media filtration and disinfection. Xylem brands include Flygt, Leopold, Sanitaire and Wedeco.

Xylem was recently spun off from ITT Corp. The water technology company is headquartered in White Plains, New York, with 2010 annual revenues of US$3.2 billion and 12 000 employees worldwide.
