Yorkshire Water signs £6mn technology deal with Mitsubishi

Under a five-year £6 million deal, Mitsubishi will provide Yorkshire Water with Programmable Logic Controllers to remotely operate and control the processes it employs to treat clean and dirty water. The technology will also be introduced at Yorkshire Water's sewage pumping stations.

Yorkshire Water supplies 1.24 billion litres of drinking water each day and treats more than 1.7 million tonnes of waste water daily. Theutility  company also looks after more than 40 000 miles of water and sewerage mains.
