Elmo Rietschle, a brand of compressor and pump manufacturer, Gardner Denver, has launched a new range of vacuum models for its claw, screw and rotary vane technologies, designed for heavy duty and industrial vacuum applications.

Elmo Rietschle’s technologies are primarily used in humid processing environments. The XD models for heavy duty installations and IV units for industrial vacuum have been developed to withstand the increased water vapour that is generated from wet and humid processes.

The XD range is suitable for demanding applications such as extrusion, industrial parts cleaning, meat processing and food packaging and is also available with variable speed drives.

The IV models for Elmo Rietschle’s VC oil-lubricated rotary vane and VSI oil-free screw ranges have been developed to achieve vacuum of 0.1 mbar and typical applications include heat treatment, oil degasification, coating and freeze-drying.

Gareth Topping, business line director for vacuum and low-pressure solutions at Gardner Denver, said that the XD and IV models were specifically developed for heavy duty and industrial environments and were part of the company’s commitment to offer operators vacuum solutions that minimise maintenance.
