Elastic jaw couplings for hydraulics applications

Typical applications of the elastic jaw couplings include pumps and compressors; agricultural and construction machines; and wind turbines. Elastic jaw couplings can dampen mild torque spikes by temporarily absorbing some of the energy. This reduces deviations in the transmission of torque and power. The design reduces body resonance during operation while suppressing any arising noises. Torque is transmitted in a fail-safe, positive engagement. The convex profiled spider consists of a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer and is exclusively pressure loaded. It aims to absorb any radial and angular misalignment of the two connected shafts.
