Wilo UK is continuing to sponsor its local football club Burton Albion this season with the pump company’s logo appearing on the back of the Brewers’ home and away shirts.

Wilo UK has been tunnel sponsor of Burton Albion's Pirelli Stadium in Burton-upon-Trent since last year. The pump company is based just down the road from the Burton Albion ground.

Known as the Brewers, Burton Albion were a non-League club until 2009. They were promoted to the Championship, the second tier of English football, in 2016. For the 2018–19 season, the team will play in League One, the third tier of English football.

“Our partnership with Wilo continues to go from strength-to-strength and we are delighted that we will not only be continuing that, but growing it over the course of the next season,” said Fleur Robinson, Burton Albion commercial director. “The Wilo brand will now not only be prominent at the Pirelli Stadium with ground advertising and the tunnel sponsorship, but we are delighted that the company’s logo will be on the back of the players’ shirts. We look forward to another successful season working together.”

Richard Harden, managing director of Wilo UK Ltd, said: “Since the start of our partnership with the Brewers we have been impressed by their shared values of promoting great leadership, people development and high levels of engagement within the local community. We are proud to be associated with the club.”
