Gardner Denver CEO signs workplace diversity & inclusion pledge

Gardner Denver Holdings Inc chief executive officer Vicente Reynal has signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ pledge.

CEO Action is the largest CEO-driven business commitment for advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

“By signing this pledge, we take formal responsibility to provide equal opportunities for our employees to be themselves, value each other’s contributions and reach their maximum potential,” said Reynal. “As a Hispanic CEO, I recognize the benefits and advantages that result from having a diverse workforce and I am deeply committed to enhancing our efforts in this space.”

“There are countless examples of research that prove that more diverse and inclusive workplaces foster innovation, better decision making and better overall results for companies and their employees. On behalf of all Gardner Denver colleagues, we are excited to join this important initiative and make this commitment,” said Pete Stavros, chairman of the board of Gardner Denver and Co-Chair of the Inclusion & Diversity Council at KKR.

Gardner Denver joins more than 600 organizations whose leaders have signed this pledge with the aim of advancing diversity and inclusion.

The pledge outlines a set of actions that participating organizations will take to cultivate diversity, including

  • Creating and maintaining environments in their workplaces that allow for conversations about diversity and inclusion.
  • Implementing and expanding “unconscious bias” education to help employees recognize, acknowledge, and minimize any potential blind spots they may have.
  • Sharing successful and unsuccessful programs and initiatives they have established around diversity and inclusion.
