The Sulzer pump packages will contain a total of 20 pumps. The direct drive type BB5 water injection pumps are driven with 5.8MW electric motors and feature back-to-back impeller design, allowing high pressure delivered from a direct drive pumpset to minimize footprint and reduce lube oil consumption. A number of API 610 pumpsets including OH2, OH3, OH1 and BB1 type pumps will be supplied for other topside process applications.
The pump packages are designed and manufactured at Sulzer Pumps’ plant in Jundiaí, Brazil.
The FPSOs are scheduled to enter into operation in 2014. Sulzer Pumps will be involved in the commissioning and servicing of the equipment offshore through its service facility in Jundiaí.
