Russia's HMS Group to provide pumps for Indian nuclear power plant

HMS Group has signed two contracts worth more than US$34 million for the delivery of pumping equipment for the Kudankulam nuclear power plant in India.

The Russian company will deliver a number of safety-significant pumping units, including primary circuit emergency and planned cooling pumps, high-pressure safety boron injection pumps and deionised water pumps for the 3rd and the 4th power plant units. These latest pump contracts are a follow-up to contracts signed in 2016 which are still under execution, and contracts completed in 2004–2006 for the delivery of the main pumping equipment to the 1st and 2nd units of this nuclear power plant.
