Caprari aids drought areas

In Sudan, water systems were built despite difficult environmental conditions. The deep wells installed in the Wadi Al Malik desert in Sudan are an example of how Caprari water management solutions perform well and are durable, even in extremely difficult environmental conditions.

The desert’s hostile environment with its sand, wind storms and dry ground makes it difficult to build civil structures that improve the living conditions of the local population, who are often forced to stay without basic necessities such as drinking water.

However, using mainly rainwater after treatment, the Nord Kordofan projects have allowed an increase in the continuous supply drinking water by using the underground water resources of the north and southern area regions.

Resistance to corrosion

In order to achieve this goal, more than 40 submersible pumps and more than 20 horizontal split case pumps of Caprari were used in the construction of water systems. All these pumps are characterized by their resistance to atmospheric weathering and corrosion caused by sand, and their high reliability and ease of maintenance.

Thanks to these projects, the lives of more than 500,000 people have improved and can better face the many droughts with easier access to the reserves of drinking water.

This project represents only one of the Caprari water systems present in the Sudan area, where the company has operated since the 70s. It is part of the company’s commitment to market solutions for the water management that are increasingly efficient and suitable for any environmental condition.
