Huge KSB cooling water pump heading to Saudi Arabia

The SEZA 24-160 pump unit will handle more than 16 000 litres of seawater per second and will be driven by a 4200 kilowatt synchronous motor.

The water will be pumped into a piping system to supply the Saudi city of Yanbu’s industrial park. This pump is being added to the system as part of the upgrading of the seawater pump house. The complete pump unit will weigh about 100 tonnes, with the pump alone weighing around 60 tonnes.

KSB expects to deliver the pump unit to the customer by September 2010.
