Dr Stephan Timmermann will become chairman of the KSB AG board of management from 13 November 2017.
Dr Timmermann (56) is currently working as an independent management consultant. Until 2015 he worked for the Munich-based MAN Group and was a member of the board of management of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE for ten years.
A mechanical engineer, Dr Timmermann studied at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and wrote his doctorate on automation engineering/robotics.
At KSB, Dr Timmermann will be responsible for Strategy, Communications, Legal, and Internal Audits, among other areas.
With Dr Timmermann’s appointment, the KSB AG board will have five members until the end of the year when Dr Peter Buthmann (65) will leave as planned. Dr Stephan Bross recently joined the board with responsibility for Technology, and Ralf Kannefass and Dr rer pol Matthias Schmitz became board members earlier this year.
