The use of liquid ammonium sulfate is increasing as a safe, economic alternative to aqueous ammonia. Unlike aqueous ammonia, LAS has an indefinite storage life, is odourless and non-toxic. The IMS two-tank upflow saturator and feed system technology can reliably and economically produce a 40% liquid ammonium sulfate solution from solid ammonium sulfate for approximately US $3.00 per gallon.
