PG Flow Solutions is to provide a seawater circulation pump system for a wellboat that Norwegian shipbuilder Aas Mekaniske Verksted is currently constructing for Kerko Seatrans AS.
The system consists of eight large seawater circulation pumps that will be delivered to Aas Mekaniske Verksted’s yard in Vestnes, Norway.
The newbuild vessel, which has a storage capacity of 3000 cubic metres, will be used to transport live fish and as a service vessel for fish farms. It is scheduled for delivery during the summer of 2020.
“Our non-mechanical seawater circulation pumps are designed to ensure excellent animal welfare, in line with the overall design of this wellboat. We have been a subcontractor to Aas Mekaniske Verksted on many other vessels and are pleased that they have returned to utilise our pumps at this newbuild,” said Øyvind Berg, vice president sales & marketing at PG Flow Solutions.
