The German pump company has also secured a €0.5 million follow-on order.
The largest of the delivered Allpro pumps moves up to 18 000 m³ of brine per hour. Allweiler will deliver an even larger pipe-bend propeller pump in early 2011. This pump will move up to 45 000 m3 of brine per hour and will be the largest pump of this kind ever manufactured by Allweiler.
Stefan Kleinmann, vice president of Allweiler’s Industry business segment and a member of the Allweiler AG executive board, said: “Having our own foundry gives Allweiler AG the ability to deliver very large pumps. We also use materials that are highly resistant to chemicals and wear but which place very high demands on the casting process.”
