Two pump industry veterans join JDA Global

Tom Brown, most recently director of Global Sourcing for Dover Corp, has more than 25 years of experience in the pump industry. He will serve as president and partner of JDA Global LLC. He will oversee the Redlands, California facility as well as the Chinese and Indian operations.

Sam Featherston will serve as acting managing director of JDA Global’s wholly-owned foreign enterprise in Shanghai, China. Featherston will assume full managing director status once the Chinese business entity is official in the coming weeks. He has spent 16 years in China and was most recently director of procurement for Dover’s Pump Solutions Group. Along with managing the NOMAD China operations, Featherston will help guide JDA’s strategic alliance in India and build relationships throughout Asia-Pacific.

JDA Global has been set up to create start-up pump companies and to acquire small to medium-sized pump manufacturers that can serve a worldwide distributor network and end user base.

The initial pump range will include air operated double-diaphragm pumps and parts, and flexible impeller pumps in metal and plastic, with roll-out scheduled for 1 January 2011.
