The British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA) has announced the winners of this year’s coveted Pump Industry Awards, with SPP Pumps’ Ben Warren picking up the highly respected Rising Star Award.

 

Torishima and Japan’s Kyoto University make hydrogen pump breakthrough

Torishima Pump Mfg Co Ltd and Program-specific Professor Taketsune Nakamura from the Graduate School of Engineering at Kyoto University have jointly developed the world’s first high-flow, high-efficiency liquid hydrogen pump.

 

Andritz hands over world’s biggest single line pulp mill to UPM

 

Andritz has handed over the UPM Paso de los Toros pulp mill in Uruguay to the forest industry company UPM.

With a capacity to produce 2.1 million tons of eucalyptus pulp per year, the mill is the largest in Uruguay and the world’s biggest single line mill in operation.
