Chesterton buys Swedish rotating equipment services company

Based in Tullinge, Stockholm, Spångs ProcessTeknik has been providing upgrade and refurbishment services for rotating equipment since 1997. Under the leadership of Tommy Spång, and in conjunction with Chesterton, Spångs ProcessTeknik developed the “Total System Solution”, focusing on overall asset function improvement projects.

“The acquisition of Spångs is a significant stepping stone in growing Chesterton’s knowledge based service offering centered on global issues relating to energy efficiency, emissions abatement, and natural resource usage reduction. The knowledge and capabilities developed at Spångs will be added to our existing portfolio of knowledge backed global services and will help Chesterton continue to provide the high level support customers appreciate from Chesterton,” said Brian O’Donnell, president and CEO of Chesterton.

Spångs will continue to provide services to its existing customers while expanding its energy efficiency services to Chesterton’s customer base in the EMEA.
